At a recent investor meeting, Apple CEO Tim Cook shed some light on the company’s current AI efforts, confirming that it is working on technologies similar to ChatGPT. Cook remained stingy with details, but assured that innovations will be key to future Apple products.
“We are really developing in the generative artificial intelligence sector. The details, as usual, will remain behind the scenes, but the investments in this area are significant. We strive to do everything smartly and thoughtfully, and this will be reflected in our products gradually,” Cook emphasized.
Previously, it was only known that Apple was interested in artificial intelligence, but there were no specifics. In what form Apple’s development will appear on the market remains a question.
Bloomberg, citing statements by Mark Gurman, claims that Apple is accelerating the creation of AI tools, planning to integrate them into the iOS 18 update. AI-based features are expected to appear in applications like Apple Music, Xcode and Siri next year.
