This is how the company commented on the press release of the Ministry of Energy of Moldova, which is dedicated to the results of the audit of the historical debt of Moldovagaz to Gazprom for gas supplied to consumers on the right bank of the Dniester River.

As Gazprom noted, the Moldovan side unilaterally determined the auditor and the terms of the tender for the purchase of his services without the consent of Gazprom and Moldovagaz, so the auditor’s conclusions cannot affect the validity of the debt.

Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that an international audit company did not find a $800 million debt to Gazprom in the country. She claims that the Russian side wanted to deceive the republic and leave it without gas on the eve of winter. “Gazeta.Ru” figured out where such a debt came from and why Chisinau and Moscow cannot agree, despite 30 years of cooperation.
