Use of honey in cooking


Honey can be added to various smoothies, ice cream, cottage cheese and yogurt. Honey is indispensable in baking; it adds a piquant taste and aroma to meat. Honey gives dishes a sweet taste, aroma and golden color. Honey also goes well with spices, nuts, fruits and cheese. Here are some honey recipes for inspiration.

Strawberry salad
Strawberries should be washed, peeled, cut in half and poured with honey. After this, add vanillin, mix and let it sit in the refrigerator for an hour. Before serving, the dish is decorated with whipped cream.

Lamb with mint and honeyUse of honey in cooking
The lamb is cut into pieces and fried in a frying pan until golden brown. Transfer to a saucepan and pour in broth so that it covers the meat. Add bay leaf, peppercorns, salt and cook over low heat until tender. Then take out the meat and keep it under foil. Finely chopped garlic, honey and chopped mint are added to the broth. Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens. The lamb is served covered in sauce.

Goose with apples and honey
Wash the goose thoroughly, dry with paper towels and rub with salt and pepper. Peel and core the apples, cut into slices and place inside the goose. Sew the hole with thread or close it with toothpicks. Grease the goose with vegetable oil and place in the oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake for about three hours, periodically basting with fat from the pan. 15 minutes before being ready, brush the goose with honey and sprinkle with grated ginger.
